Here is my progress. Assignment:  Surface Design Study  Assigned:   Tuesday ,  September 24 Due:   Monday,October 07   01 INSPIRATION I looked to architecture for pattern inspiration, in the city but also from photos from my travels.   01Sketches Using the photos as a point of departure I made some preliminary sketches.      03 Speed Dating Date 1: Offered supportive comments Date 2: Challenged me to use hexagonal to assist with scaling the pattern  Date 3: Offered stylistic feedback regarding positive and negative space. Introduced the concept of grid overlaying  Date 4:  Offered supportive comments 03 Development Spent time in Rhino playing around with layers and grid structures to assist with pattern expansion. Returned to sketching to create some illustrations that offered a person touch to the design.
